Indonesian Government has officially set a public holiday schedule in 2023 through the Minister of Religion, Minister of Labour, Minister of Administrative Reform, and Bureaucratic Reform Joint Decree about Indonesia Public Holidays 2023 which stipulates that the total number of national holidays is 16 days and for a joint leave is 8 days. So, it makes the total of public holidays is 24 days!

Here are the National Holidays in 2023:

1 January: New Year’s Day
22 – 23 January: Chinese New Year
18 February: Isra Mi’raj
22 March: Bali’s Day of Silence (Nyepi)
7 April: Good Friday
22 -23 April: Lebaran Holiday
1 May: Labour Day
18 May: Ascension Day of Jesus Christ
1 June: Pancasila Day
4 June: Waisak Day
29 June: Idul Adha
19 July: Islamic New Year
17 August: Independence Day
28 September: Birthday of Prophet Muhammad
25 December: Christmas Holiday

Besides the National Holidays, the Government also set 8 days as joint leave, which is:

23 January: Chinese New Year Holiday
23 March: Bali’s Day of Silence (Nyepi)
21, 23, 25, and 26 April: Lebaran Holiday
2 June: Waisak Holiday
26 December: Christmas Holiday
